Richard Lindner (1901 –1978) was a German-American painter, born in Germany, mother American, he studied Arts and Crafts School since 1940 Academy of Fine Arts. In 1941 he went to the United States and worked as an illustrator of books and magazines, making contact with German emigrants (Albert Einstein, Marlene Dietrich, Saul Steinberg). His paintings at this time used the sexual symbolism, he received many Awards. “The artistic universe of Richard Lindner is unique, he is highly genuine, he is full of urban energy, he started his career as an artist at the age of 40 in New York.
