Raoul Dufy (1911–1953), a brother of Jean Dufy, was a French Fauvist painter, draftsman, textile artist, printmaker, furniture designer and a planner of public spaces. He developed a colorful, decorative style that became fashionable for ceramics and textile designs, as well as decorative schemes for public buildings. He is noted for scenes of open-air social events.
