Georges Rouault (1871-1958) was an influential French expressionist painter. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was associated with the Fauvism movement. Rouault’s artwork primarily focused on biblical themes, creating paintings, etchings, and lithographs. Later in his career, he served as the curator of the Moreau Museum.
