Edna Hibel Potkin (1917-2014) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. An American painter best known for her impressionistic landscapes and portraits of children, she has had a more than 60-year career as a painter, lithographer, and promoter of peace through exhibitions of her artwork. Hibel has created the “Arte Ovale” series and various plaques with this technique.
